CURRICULUM

Curriculum Overview

  • Children are born ready to learn. The first months and years of life set the stage for lifelong development… as they cultivate 85 percent of their intellect, personality and skills by age five. "(NRCIM 2000). So, choosing the right early learning environment is among the most important decisions you can make for your child.

  • Our Centre is committed to providing all our children with opportunities to reach their full protentional and to establish a solid foundation for future success in learning. Our Program aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and is influenced by an Emergent Curriculum model to place a strong emphasis on play-based learning and the child’s right to be an active and empowered participant within their own learning journey. All programs balance indoor and outdoor activities, active and quiet play, as well as, individual and group experiences.

Daily Curriculum

  • The Daily Curriculum is developed through a collaboration of family, child and Educator input. It is created with the child’s individual interests and skills in mind. Each room completes a Daily Journal that is uploaded on our collaborating website / mobile phone app. You can access your child's individual online portfolio at any time using your family's unique login code.

  • Other learning stories are also uploaded such as children’s individual observations, group observations, follow up observations, focus experiences, birthday photos, videos and more. Our curriculum follows a learning cycle ensuring observations form the basis for planning and providing future experiences, reflecting the interests and needs of children.
