Nutritious & Hot Meals by KGF

  • Our centre follows the Munch and Move initiative, which promotes the implementation of physical activity and healthy nutritional habits for children. So, our nutritious meals are provided by the reputable Early Childhood food service Kids Gourmet Food (KGF).

  • ï‚·KGF offers a diverse and creative menu that captures children’s interest to create an experience that encourages children to make healthy eating choices.

  • ï‚·High-quality, fresh ingredients and a broad range of flavours and textures are used to create meals that exceed the nutritional guidelines for children. 

  • ï‚·Our six-week rotational menu contains food from the five food groups recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines, emphasising minimal sugar and oil.

  • ï‚·Our healthy and balanced meals include a variety of fresh vegetables and legumes, seasonal fruit, wholegrains and seeds, lean fresh meat and fish and dairy options.​

Food Intolerances & Cultural Preference

  • Trained Chefs from the KGF's team tailer-make meals for children with specific food requirements.

  • ï‚·We do not use nuts, eggs or pork in our entire food preparation area.​

  • ï‚·We provide meals for all children, but if parents prefer to bring their own home-made food or lunchbox, we can support that as well.

What would I need to bring each day?

  • To meet your child’s daily needs we provide, sun safe hat, sunscreen, bedding, meals such as morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea and more.

  • ï‚·Other items you will need to provide is a piece of fruit or vegetable, milk, wet wipes and nappies if required.

Would I get Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

  • CCS is a form of financial assistance provided by the government to help parents pay for the cost of child care for their children.

  • ï‚·We are an approved child care service, which means all families using our service are eligible to apply for CCS.

  • ï‚·To find out how much you are entitled to claim through the CCS, you can use the Subsidy Calculator.

  • ï‚·The Family Assistance Office (FAO) through Centrelink administers this benefit.

  • ï‚·For further details, please contact Centrelink on 13 62 40 or www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/dhs/centrelink.

What are the eligibility requirements for parents to receive CCS?

  • Use an approved child care service

  • Meet residence rules

  • Meet immunisation requirements

  • Be responsible for paying the child care fees

  • ï‚·Care for a child 13 or younger who’s not attending secondary school, unless an exemption applies

Do children actively engage in sustainability practices?

  • Yes, it is a collective responsibility of the community to protect our environment and sustainable living is embedded into our daily program and operation.

  • ï‚·We have our compost bin and worm farm to encourage sustainable practices, collecting scrapes after our mealtimes.

  • ï‚·We also have our animal farm with guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens, which further encourage children to experience, interact and learn about the wonder of nature around us.
